Mr Parker - Product pages

Product pages include a number of setup options that allow you to shape and control the behavior and appearance of content.

Product section settings:

Product section settings are divided into groups for easier viewing.

Media

• Enable click to enlarge
  Adds a modal window with zoom in 
• Gallery layout
  Choose between a traditional slideshow with thumbnails or large stacked images to scroll down.
• Thumbnails position
  If using the Slideshow option set the thumbnails to the left, right or below the main image.
• Thumbnails visible
  Choose how many thumbnail images are visible at one time.
• Slider navigation
  Choose between arrows or dots to navigate between slides.
• Enable video looping
  When video is used on a product toggle it's ability to loop or play once.

Form options

• Background color
  Set the background color of the product form area.
• Border
  Add a border to the product form to help define it's appearance
• Toggle social sharing icons
  Add three icons that allow the customer to share the product to their social media page. Only for Facebook, X, and Pinterest. 

Product page blocks

Product pages also contains blocks which allow you to control additional content and the order in which it appears on the page. 

• Title
  Shows only the product's title.
• Vendor
  Shows only the product's vendor.
• Price
  Shows only the product's price.
• Variant picker
  Shows the variants for your customers to select their size. color, etc.
  *We strongly encourage you to enable the Variant picker at all times to avoid issues with customers not seeing your variants.
• Quantity selector
  Allow customers to select a quantity to add to the cart
• SKU
  Show the SKU ( if used ) for the currently selected variant
• Buttons
  The Add to Cart + Shopifys dynamic checkout buttons
• Pickup availability
  When pickups are enabled in your store this will show stock locations and pickup information for customers looking to collect their order
• Product description
  The product description content.
  Note: When a tab content block has been selected, the description will fix it's position within the tabbed layout.
• Tabbed content
  Adds additional text content to your product page in a tabbed layout. When a tabbed content block is added, your product description will automatically show as the first tabbed content.
• Collection navigation
  Visible when a product has been opened from within a collection page or featured collection section.
• Tax policies
  Show customers inclusion or exclusion of taxes based on EU legislation.
• Popup
  Show text or metafield content in a popup modal.
• Product customization
  Collect further information from customers when adding to the cart like a name, additional text, or an image which will become a part of the order
• Text with icon
  Show additional text with an icon to highlight store offers or policies like Free shipping, global shipping & more
• Stock levels
  Increase buyer urgency if inventory below selected number.
• Payment icons
  Show payment icons for all of the payment types that your store accepts.
• Complementary products
  Add related items to your product page using Shopifys search and discovery app.
• Pros and Cons
  Highlight the pros and cons or strengths and weaknesses of a product using metafields.
  
  
  1. Open the Shopify admin, click on settings > Custom data
  2. Create a metafield with the following attributes:
     name = "product pros", 
     content type = "single line text", 
     check "accept list of values"
  3. Repeat creating another metafield with the following attributes:
     name = "product cons", 
     content type = "single line text", 
     check "accept list of values"
  4. Go to a product in the Admin
  5. Below the product content you will see the new metafields that have been created, add values to your pros and cons list
  6. Open the Shopify theme editor
  7. Navigate to a product page
  8. Add the pros and cons product block
  9. For the block fields choose a dynamic source and assign the text field to appropriate list metafield
