Testament - Release notes

Our themes are updated regularly in order to ensure that when Shopify release a new feature our merchants may benefit from it. Updating your theme is optional and will come with it's own hurdles where theme versions currently do not update automatically or inherit code from older versions.

Below you will see a history of theme versions and release dates including bug fixes, major rebuilds and minor style edits.

v12.3.1 - 03/27/2024

This release adds support for the new Shopify product color swatch feature and addresses any known bugs.

v11.0.0 - 05/05/2023

Testament 11.0.0 introduces Gift Card Recipient form for Gift Card products, a Follow on Shop button in the theme footer and other various fixes and improvements.

• Important: We changed the Rich Text section's grid widths settings. The 25% has been changed to 33% and 75% has been changed to 66% to ensure proper center alignment.

• We fixed an issue with the alignment of blocks in the Rich Text section.
• We fixed an issue with lengthy headings and subheadings going off screen in the Slideshow section.
• We fixed an issue with the Sort By button on the collection page not always being clickable.
• We fixed an issue where the mobile menu did not show all the menu items for long menus.
• We fixed an issue where the Mega Menu font weight was different than the standard menu.
• We fixed an issue where the horizontal positioning was not working in the Image with Text Overlay section.

v10.0.0 - 03/09/2023

Testament 10.0.0 adds support for adding sections within the header and footer areas, we also updated the predictive search feature to highlight parts of the search query in the results. We also included various other bug fixes and improvements to the theme.

• We made sure that background colors underneath product images match the theme's background color. Only noticeable if the product images have a transparent background.

• We improved the Featured Collection section by enabling a carousel on mobile if there are more than two products within the collection.
• We fixed the script for the "Recently Viewed Products" section that was not recording products that used a different product template than the original.
• We fixed the footer disclosures from appearing off the page on mobile.
• We fixed the Slideshow sections's caption background color for newly added slides which should default to transparent.

This version includes suraface availiability update, bug fixes, and a transition to new javascript libraries as a part of a phased move away from jQuery to increase performance.
